Oscar O’Brien (he/him) is a Melbourne/Naarm based performer and creator originally from Horsham in regional Victoria.  After graduating with a Bachelor of Performing Arts from Federation University Arts Academy, Oscar relocated to the the city in pursuit of creative opportunities. Oscar has since performed in several independent works, including shows as a part of Melbourne Fringe Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Recently Oscar was a performer and a devisor as a part of La Mama Theatre’s EMERGE program with a group of other young creators. Oscar also has taken up writing, and is working on a play, which he had the opportunity to develop in January of 2024 as a part of an Artist Residency with the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre in Traralgon. Merry Wanderers of the Night is Oscar’s first collaboration with BYTE.
